In July 2003 the International Transas Headquarters was established in Cork, Ireland. This move became a logical consequence of the company’s ongoing expansion into international markets. Being a perfect example of a modern, flexible marine IT company with a global reach, Transas now profits from the beneficial development conditions for IT businesses in Ireland.

  • Transas marine onboard equipment is successfully used on more than 10,000 commercial ships and yachts, as well as vessels of different class in 100 countries;
  • Over 3 million vector electronic charts in Transas proprietary TX-97 format have been distributed to users throughout the world. Transas chart collection consists of more that 14,000 charts;
  • More than 10,000 vessels worldwide are equipped with Transas ECDIS. Transas confidently retains 30% of the world market in this field;
  • More than 1,700 Transas simulators are installed in 300 training and simulator centres in 70 countries (e.g., Meriturva Maritime Safety Training Centre, Finland, Makarov State Maritime Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, California Maritime Academy, USA, Calhoon M.E.B.A. Engineering School, USA, Akademi Laut Malaysia (ALAM), Malaysia, etc.). For many years Transas has been confidently holding 30% of the international commercial maritime simulation market.
  • Transas shore-based Vessel Traffic Management Systems function successfully in more than 100 ports worldwide;
  • Onboard equipment is supplied to Russian and foreign aircraft operators, sales coming to hundreds of devices. Company specialists have installed about 100 integrated onboard AMMS systems, including the installation onboard Russian President’s helicopters;
  • Over 200 aircrafts are equipped with Transas Terrain Awareness and Warning System;
  • Transas helicopter simulators are the main technical aid for training flight personnel for the civil aviation of Russia; contracts for the procurement of 24 airbourne simulators have been signed, and for the moment 6 integrated simulators have been manufactured and supplied to the clients. Transas is projecting, constructing and equipping the greatest helicopter simulation training centre in the world for JSC Gazpromavia.
