Some major Transas customers

Transas is a modern 21st century group of companies, keen to use its valuable expertise and innovation to contribute to the development of today’s industry. Marine navigational systems from Transas are used on ships and patrol boats of naval and Coast Guard fleets from over 30 nations, and more than 10,000 commercial and leisure vessels. Almost every second SOLAS vessel of the international fleet, which has onboard electronic chart systems, is equipped with an ECS or ECDIS system from Transas. Over 3 million vector electronic charts in Transas proprietary TX­-97 format have been distributed to users throughout the world. Thus, fully complying with the definition of the company’s slogan: Transas Sets the Standard.

A. P. Moller Maersk

Some 320 Navi-­Sailor ECDIS systems, each with radar overlay and a full world folio of Transas electronic charts, are installed aboard the fleet of A.P. Moller Maersk Sea Line, the world’s largest shipowner. Positive reports have been received from sea trials onboard MS Chastine Maersk. The availability of integrated functions, including AIS and Weather Wizard, and a customer-­friendly Transas Chart Marketing policy influenced A.P. Moller’s decision to choose Transas.

Canada Maritime

Transas Navi-Sailor ECDIS is delivered to Canada Maritime’s M/V Cast Progress, as part of a fleet retrofit of Transas ECDIS.

Chilean Navy

The Chilean Navy chose Transas Navi-­Sailor 3000 after testing a number of systems and performance appraisals during harsh sea trials on board war ships and auxiliary vessels sailing along the extensive Chilean Sea areas.

Commodore

Transas ECDIS systems are fitted to the Cross-Channel ferries M/V Commodore Clipper and M/V Commodore Goodwill.

German SAR Association

All DGzRS (German SAR Association) vessels are equipped with Transas Navi-Sailor including Radar Integrator Board, Navtex Interface and AIS Transponder.

Hellenic Coastguard

Transas succeeded in becoming the first Professional Chart Systems supplier to the Hellenic Coast Guard. The very first Transas Navi­Sailor electronic chart system has been ordered by the Hellenic Coast Guard to be fitted on board a new Fast Patrol Boat.
Today, Transas Navi-Sailor 2500 and Navi-Sailor 3000 ECDIS are being used by 19 Hellenic Coastguard vessels for routine, as well as security and surveillance operations.

M/V Itasca

M/V Itasca, involved in voyages to remote areas of the globe, is successfully using a Transas Navi-Sailor ECDIS 3000 system.

Red Funnel

Transas ECS 3000 software is positioned on board the Red Eagle, Red Falcon and Red Osprey ferries.

RIO

A Transas Navi-­Sailor 2400 ECDIS system is arranged on board the Maersk Provider. The system is being upgraded to a Navi-­Sailor 3000 ECDIS.

Reederei Frank Dahl

Reederei Frank Dahl’s fleet of 18 ships are fitted with Transas Navi-Sailor 2400 ECS system.

Tor Flandria

DFDS Tor Line AB’s Alvsborgshamnen Gothenburg is using a Transas Navi­Sailor ECS.

German Naval Academy

A new large scale Transas simulator named AANS is delivered for the Marineschule Muerwik (MSM), the German Naval Officers Training Academy in Flensburg.

German Navy

The navigational suite installed onboard the entire German Navy fleet consists of Transas Navi-Sailor 3000 ECDIS, (U)AIS-Transponders of Saab Transpondertech AB and navigational ARPA Radars.

USCG 87’ Coastal Patrol Boat Fleet

Transas upgraded the entire United States Coast Guard 87’ Coastal Patrol Boat (USCG 87’ CPB) fleet to the very latest Navi-Sailor 3000iCG Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS).

Sovkomflot\Primorsk Shipping Corporation (PRISCO)

Transas has equipped 5 vessels of ice class 1A according to the DNV classification for PRISCO and Sovkomflot, built at Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard in the framework of 1599 – 1603 project. The new integrated navigational system HTiBS is installed onboard the vessels “Pavel Chernysh”, “Captain Kostichev”, “Viktor Titov”, “Yuri Senkevich” and “Viktor Konetsky”. ”Viktor Titov“ has been selected as one of three vessels in the Most Outstanding Ships of the Year 2005 category by the two leading U.S magazines Maritime Reporter and Marine Log, and the British maritime magazine, Naval Architect, in terms of technological design and performance.

Palmali Shipping

Palmali Shipping secured a contract with Transas for the procurement of the navigational equipment set for 5 dry cargo ships planned for construction in Nizhni Novgorod, at Krasnoe Sormovo shipyard, in the framework of RSD17 project. The equipment set includes GMDSS, ARPA radar, VDR, UAIS, GPS, SSAS, echo-sounder, log, gyrocompass and Electronic Chart Display & Information System (ECDIS).
