Transas provides a ‘one-stop’ shop solution, offering a complete range of official and non-official electronic charts. The Transas electronic chart database provides world-wide coverage and is updated with Notices to Mariners issued by Hydrographic Offices of different countries.

Transas SENC Chart Collection

SENC (System Electronic Navigation Chart) is an ENC data set that has been compiled into the internal format of a specific Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). Transas is the only ECDIS manufacturer providing a SENC Service. Transas delivers official ENC data in SENC format as per the IHO amendment to paragraph 3.3 of S-52, and the new Techni cal Resolution A3.11 adopted at the IHO’s 16th International Hydrographic Conference. Transas SENC Distribution Service was fully tested and approved by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in June 2004 and the collection currently includes charts from PRIMAR Stavanger, NOAA and IC-ENC.

  • The subscription term runs for 12 months from the date of first (S)ENC purchase
  • The SENC database CD is distributed quarterly on CD or via the Transas website. SENC data updates are released on weekly basis and distributed regularly via online e-mail service or can be downloaded from the Transas web-site.
  • Chart administration onboard is done through the Chart Assistant utility.
