Chart Assistant/Navi-Planner (SENC users only)

Chart Assistant (CA) and Navi-Planner (NPL) are specially developed chart administration tools for all chart formats used in Transas navigation systems, which provide the following:

• Ordering and delivery of Chart licences, new charts and chart updates
• Installation of charts and chart updates
• Status report of the ship collection

Chart Assistant and Navi-Planner can use the vessel’s existing email system to receive chart licences, charts and chart updates. Alternatively, Chart Assistant or Navi-Planner can be connected directly to the Transas chart server via the internet, provided the Transas Firewall and Virus Protection system is installed.

Weekly Update CD/DVD

Updates can also be delivered via CD or DVD on a weekly basis to Transas customers. This CD/DVD contains updates to all the charts in the service and once uploaded onto the ECDIS system, ensures that every TADS customer has a complete and up to date set of data onboard, with the option to easily access additional data if required. CD/DVD updates can also be used in conjunction with online or email updates, where internet access is limited or where a physical backup is required.

Digital Catalogue (AVCS customers only)

Admiralty Digital Catalogue is included free of charge to all our AVCS customers.

Admiralty Information Overlay (AIO): Temporary and Preliminary Notices to Mariners

Admiralty Information Overlay includes all Admiralty Temporary and Preliminary Notices to Mariners (T&P NM’s) and provides additional navigation significant information from UKHO’s ENC validation programme.

The Overlay is displayed as a single layer on top of the basic ENC and is available as part of the TADS service.

This ensures that TADS users have the most up to date T&P information available regardless of where they are in the world. T&P NMs are delivered on a weekly basis on the update DVD or with the online/email updates, depending on requirements.
