Seetrac functionality
- Seetrac integrated module tracks the position of each tender, jet ski and wet bike operating around the host yacht in Navi-Sailor ECDIS.
- Data transmitted through the air from the tender gives tender position, speed, course, and optionally depth, wind and MOB alert.
- The range of operation is typically 5-10 NM, depending on antenna heights. Frequency is UHF/VHF and output 5W.
Main advantages
- The crew can monitor the position of each tender or wet bike on Navi-Sailor ECDIS/ECS, especially when multiple units are operating around the vessel.
- If a tender or wet bike breaks down, runs out of fuel or gets lost – the user can hit the alert button to send an alarm status which clearly shows the position of the tender on the chart enabling a fast response.
- Only the host yacht can see their tenders. If a tender or wet bike is misused or stolen and even if the main batteries are disabled the unit will continue transmitting for up to an hour and will be seen whilst in range.
- All tender information received by the Navi-Sailor ECDIS/ECS from the Seetrac Base Unit is plotted on the electronic chart in real time. There are two easy ways to search for a tender on the chart: by using the “Target Table” (by name or tender transmission code) or the “Currently Active List” menu.
