Information Integrator on Operation of Shipborne Equipment Navi-Conning

Navi-Conning is a software and hardware system, which is intended for the processing and recording of parameters supplied via different channels from external sources of information. This system will considerably simplify the work of watch officers by permanently providing valid information on the operation of ship systems.

Interfaces

Navi-Conning system is designed to process parameters supplied both, in ASCII code and in the binary form. It supports the following data exchange formats and their versions:

  • NMEA (ver. 2.1/3.0/3.01). Operation in accordance with this protocol is realized via serial RS232-type and virtual ports
  • WAGO analog/digital converter. Operation according to this protocol is possible via serial ports.Binary proprietary format for an interface with Navi-Sailor ver. 3.xx; 4.xx / 2400 via Local Area Network.

The data processed by Navi-Conning can be output to the external device in NMEA format (ver. 2.1/3.0/3.01).

Displayed Information

A standard Navi-Conning system provides 4 base screen views:

  • Current ship coordinates, course, speed
  • Rudder blade position; information from main engine room, telegraph repeater, etc.
  • Status of navigation lights
  • Sounder readings, wind and route

Alarm Station Functionality

Alarm Station Functionality is intended for reception, processing and representation of incoming alarms and warnings from various sources as well as for acknowledgement in accordance with requirements by:

  • Lloyd’s register 2003, NAV1 IBS
  • DNV RULES FOR CLASSIFICATION OF SHIPS, NAUT-AW
  • Alarm Station provides transferring of alarms to the Specific Locations as well as blocking of the one (“Harbor Operations” mode).

Alarm processing Interfaces:

  • NMEA ALR-ACK
  • Analog/Digital (WAGO)
  • NS-Server (network alarms from NS ECDIS-I ver.4.00.xx)
  • Internal Alarms (Communication Fail) – selected by default.
