Configuration

The main components of the Transas AIS Network are:

• AIS base stations network
• AIS Network Information Handling System (IHS)
• AIS Network Management System (NMS)
• AIS Network Intranet and Internet clients
• Full connectivity to the system core network, highly protected from all external subsystems by firewall technology
• Interface to the external national and international AIS Network
• Data communication network (switches, routers, firewalls).
