Functions
The list of basic Navi-Manager functions includes:
- Receiving position and status reports from vessels via various communication channels
- Generating alarms on receipt of SSAS alert messages
- Maintaining database of monitored vessels, received messages, user chart objects, alarms and auxiliary information
- Visualizing vessel positions and auxiliary information on electronic charts
- Displaying and editing reference information on vessels
- Displaying additional information (such as alarm lists)
- Manual entry of vessel positions when required
- Editing user chart objects (e.g. charts of RCC responsibility zones, GMDSS charts, fishing area charts)
- History playback.
Customization
The following Navi-Manager extensions may be implemented upon customer request:
- New message formats and new communication channels, either industry standard or customer specific
- Custom data import/export formats to exchange data with third-party applications
- User interface – data input and display forms and specific controls to enhance effectiveness of most common operator tasks
- Non-standard chart formats
- New user chart styles to support customer-specific type of objects
- New report types for successful monitoring and history analysis
- New alarm types
- Custom functionality to support specific business processes
- Complex integration with external databases and systems.
