AIS training

Transas NTPRO 4000 simulator includes necessary features for comprehensive training on AIS functionality. Transas MT-1 AIS carefully simulated. Integration with ECDIS and ARPA/Radar display is provided. Simulator ensures capabilities for external connection of real MKD e.g. SAAB R4 MKD. Instructor is capable of presetting initial AIS parameters for own and target ships, monitoring AIS data and introducing faults.

Transas UAIS training ensures capability to:

  • Set up parameters of own ships and targets for UAIS Position, Ship Static and Voyage Related Data reports;
  • Set up parameters of helicopter targets for UAIS Standard SAR Aircraft Position reports;
  • Set up parameters of VTMS station for UAIS Base Station reports;
  • Send UAIS messages from targets to own ships and VTMS stations;
  • Monitor exchange of UAIS messages;
  • Enter malfunctions into a UAIS transponder;
  • Use ECDIS as AIS MKD;
  • Work with AIS information presented on ECDIS Display and verify the overall situation using data from different sources (ARPA targets, Radar Overlay and ECDIS target extractor, AIS targets);
