VTS simulators are VTS operator workstations, from small local stations to the ramified up-to-date VTS systems with several integrated local and regional stations for controlling radar, video, AIS surveillance systems, communication, recording , database maintenance and documenting systems. The simulator equipment and software allow all the main VTS functions to be imitated and provide the creation of areas with different navigational situations . The navigation bridge equipment enables the control of target ships and generation of various training scenarios and tasks.

VTS simulators fully correspond to the functional capabilities of actual Transas VTS systems operating in scores of ports worldwide.

VTS simulators can function in a common information environment with Transas navigational and GMDSS simulators.
