SIM cards contain all customer identification and account information allowing shared use of phones with individual billing. Iridium also offers 2.4 kbps data via internal Hayes compatible modem, with data at 10.0 kbps also available for Direct Internet access. Batteries can provide up to 6.5 hours of talk time and 65 hours of standby time. With Call Forwarding and optional Voice Mail features, Iridium calls can be forwarded unconditionally or when unavailable, as with any normal mobile service, ensuring customers will never miss a call again. Subscribers are notified on their phone and/or Iridium pager when messages are left in their personal mailbox, which can then be accessed via satellite or terrestrial communications.

Iridium World Page Service

As a stand-alone service or as a complement to Iridium voice services, Iridium World Page Service offers unlimited messages at a low monthly fee. Messages can be sent either by direct dialling the subscriber's pager, completing an online web form, or sending an email. Bundled with Iridium voice service, Iridium World Page service offers customers a complete global communication solution.
